It is a natural wood aromatic incense used for centuries by the indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, as well as to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune, as well as for medicinal purposes. The Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is a sacred tree that has been used since time immemorial in ceremonies and healing in South America. Fallen trees/branches of the Palo Santo Tree are let to dry and cure in the forest for a period of five to seven years before being collected, time for the resin to crystallize and reveal this subtle and magical fragrance.
